Dutch Country Market has been offering a high quality food that has been bringing people back for more, for a period of over 20 years.

In the past several years they have been selling a small amount of crafts, quilts, lawn furniture, playsets and Gazebos from a 16x20 shop on the edge of the parking lot. Sam and Glenda wanted to make a better place for their customers to be able to come inside and browse in a more comfortable setting and to offer some of the Handcrafted Solidwood Furniture that they had seen built by some of the Amish and Mennonite craftsmen in the Lancaster Co area of PA.

So they went to the drawing table again and after many trips to Georgetown DE and the patience of waiting for permits and engineering plans to be approved, a 48x96 post frame building was started by the Graber Supply Co. building crew from Gap, PA in September of 2006.

With the help of many friends, family, and contractors, the building was ready for furniture, crafts, quilts, old decoys, painted feathers, and pictures, by the end of July 2008.

Dutch Country Heirloom Furniture was opened for business in August of 2007 and with the help of Patrona Mast, Bob and Della Jones, Erma Hudson and also their children Julie, Matt, Fred, Emily, and Eric (4), they hope to give the customers the type of service, and quality of product that has kept customers coming back to the Dutch Country Market for the past 19 Years.

Sam and Glenda would like to thank God for the following:
  • The many Blessings and Providence that have been given us over the years we have been serving food and outdoor furniture in this wonderful community of Laurel,DE.
  • The many customers weve gotten to know personally over the past 19 years,
  • The good neighbors in business around us.
  • For the special people that we've worked with to make so customers have (what they need, when they need it).
